If you’re anything like me, then there’s nothing you enjoy more than standing in a cold, fast-running stream, casting out a fly and waiting for a strike. When that strike actually happens, it’s time to battle! In order to have total command when chasing cunning trout or salmon, I expect my fly fishing tackle to be premium quality and remarkably trustworthy. I have to admit, though, that I am a fanatic about collecting fishing gear—I have so many fishing rods and reels I don’t know what to do with them. Therefore, when I am ready to venture out on a fishing expedition, it is pertinent that I choose the ideal tackle from my collection of gear. One reel I reach for quite often is the Loop Evotec G4. Main Characteristics of the Loop Evotec G4 Fly Reel
I was glad to learn that the Evotec reel series has undergone some major design changes that make the reels superior performers. It is a hard-wearing, resilient fishing reel that always performs smoothly. Fitted with the Power Matrix drag system, the G4 is equal to even the largest, hard-fighting opponent. The makers of this fishing reel really knew what they were doing. I truly love the winding handle on the G4; this is an ergonomically made, low resistance feature which eliminates the probability of snagging when casting. Additionally, I observed that the counterweight is designed with an o-ring that the tippet may be attached to when you’re not using this rod.
More About the Evotec G4 Reel
Even though the looks of an item of fly fishing tackle is less important than its performance and quality, I do have to admit that the black colour of the Evotec G4 is quite striking. Put that together with the glossy aluminium encasement and spool, and you have got a wonderful looking reel. In addition, the housing and spool are machined from a single piece of aircraft-quality aluminium, so I’m certain the G4 will stand up well to hard use. This fishing reel’s key steel elements are built from surgical-grade stainless steel; thus, I am confident that eh G4 is extremely salt defiant and also waterproof in areas that it must be. Both the braking system and casing are constructed from top-notch supplies; this enables the G4 to perform remarkably in diverse situations.
