Can anyone help me revising the lyrics to a song?

Its for church. I saw god today by george strait.
Some of the lyrics are about how he saw god through his new baby.
But, i was wondering if anyone could help me change some of the lines and instead of making them about his baby, help me make it just about how others would find god.
just the lines in quotes.
just walked down the street to the coffee shop, “had to take a break. I’d been by her side for eighteen hours straight”
The flashing lights the honking horns all seemed to fade away, “in the shadow of that hospital at 5:08″

“Got my face pressed up against the nursery glass
She’s sleeping like a rock
My name on her wrist wearing tiny pink socks
She’s got my nose, she’s got her mamas eyes
My brand new baby girl
She’s a miracle”

Please help!
Thanks.

Something like this? not sure what you really want hope it helps :)

just walked down the street to the coffee shop, “had to take a break. I’d been thinking for eighteen hours straight”
The flashing lights the honking horns all seemed to fade away, “in the shadow of day
“Got my mind wondering is it all going wrong
Or can we make it better, we have to be strong
Miracles around us every day life
Together we can face the joy and the strife
