The Beans and Tea Leaf is simply a Starbucks clone sequence, sort of new-ish to the Bay Location, apparently while it began with L. Any. and slowly creeping its way north and east over the last number of decades. I do not know about some of the other areas, as this is the only one I’ve been to, yet I’d level it since maybe slightly much better than Starbucks overall, however with a whole lot worse coffee.
This specific location is actually between 4th and 5th along Market, an area surprisingly not well furnished by coffee shops besides the obligatory several Starbucks seemingly existing on every single downtown block. The interior is significantly more spacious and inviting compared to most down-town coffee outlets, and in addition has a lot of patio tables put up outdoors. There’s enough tables inside and a large coffee dining table at the center around which are some hooker furniture and stuffed seats.
Unfortunately the coffee and food is hidden at the rear of a partition, and to see whatever you must get into a cafeteria-style brand, so if it is busy you’re more or less committed and can’t change the mind about buying something. The particular menu is simply all of the expected espresso drinks, tea, muffins, scones, some miscellaneous pastries, and bagels. Price ranges are average to slightly high for the area.
