How Does the Cuisinart DCC 1200 Brew Such Good Coffee?

Do you want to know how to brew the very best coffee you’ve had for a long time? I’ll tell you now. You need a Cuisinart DCC 1200 Brew Central coffee machine. In this article I will tell you why then tell you where you can buy one for the lowest possible price. (Here actually: Cuisinart DCC-1200 review)

Now, it’s obviously a matter of personal taste but I’ve always found coffee to be a bit of a disappointment. The aroma of roasting coffee is totally wonderful and when you catch a whiff of that fabulous aroma you can’t wait to make a cup and enjoy all the complexity that its fragrance has to offer. But when you make coffee it never lives up to expectations. It appears almost impossible to capture the potential of the roasted beans.

And just recently I’ve found out why. The answer was right under my nose all along. Probably like me, you’ve been filling up my coffee making machine with tap water without a thought for what the water might actually taste like. Surely all water is the same I hear you say Actually, no. Nearly everybody in this country gets their water from the local water utility. And as you probably know water utilities put lots of chemicals into their water. Now they do this for the best of possible reasons. It’s to protect our health. They use a wide variety of disinfectants to kill bacteria. They put in other chemicals to keep Protozoa populations down and they put in fluoride to make sure that we never need fillings in our teeth. It’s a good job they do because untreated water is one of the biggest causes of disease such as cholera and dysentery in the Third World. But as you can imagine all these helpful chemicals don’t exactly do anything for the taste of the water.

And that’s why my coffee has always been a disappointment. And no matter what sort of coffee I used they always seem to leave a bitter aftertaste. I thought maybe it was because I was using arabica beans, so I switched to robusta. And then sometimes I’d switch back the other way. I must have purchased dozens of different blends of coffee in the quest for the perfect cup. I could have saved myself a lot of anguish by buying a Cuisinart DCC 1200 from the start. It’s fitted with an activated charcoal filter that removes pretty much every trace of chemicals from the water with which your coffee is going to be made. And you won’t believe what difference it makes. You might think I’m going over the top a bit here but if you get one of these machines you’ll be amazed what a superb cup of coffee it will make even with more affordable blends of coffee.

I should have realised this from the beginning of course. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but it’s a bit exasperating when it shows you just what an idiot you’ve been. The water in your coffee makes up about ninety-nine percent of the entire beverage anyway so it’s no surprise that its flavor affects the flavor of the drink as a whole.

A cup of coffee is, of course at its very best when it’s really fresh but you will find that when the water has been filtered in this way that even when the jug has been sitting on the hotplate for an hour or more that the coffee still tastes fresh and satisfying.

I would never if I didn’t have my Cuisinart DCC 1200 and I can virtually guarantee that you will soon find it an indispensable part of your life too.
