Could my rackmount server be…?
Pregnant?
I left my laptop alone with the rackmount server while I went for coffee, when I returned I saw that the laptop was pulling out of the server port. I am concerned since the laptop is an AMD and the server is Intel, I know I can always take them down to the supermarket parking lot and give them away but with the cost of anti-virus should I just have the server formatted and put an end to it? I know some people actually prefer I-Mac but it just seems wrong to mix AMD thoroughbred and Pentium since whoever gets one could be careless and next thing you know there would be a bunch of 286’s with 1 Meg running around. Even worse what if they looked like an Osborne?
This is difficult for me to answer because here in Australia I suspect our technology is just a little bit more advanced. I purchased a Commodore 64 last week and it is awesome – colour screen and sound! Programs take a while to load on the tape player but with titles such as Lemonade and Pong it is worth the wait.

The UK south Devon coastline is something that once seen, is never forgotten. A superb location for access to the many fabulous beaches, attractions and facilities of the area is The Osborne at Meadfoot Beach on the outskirts of Torquay. The Dartmoor National Park is right on the doorstep, famous for its beauty and wildness, as well as its ponies, granite tors, walks and trails. Visiting this place makes a wonderful day out for all the family, as you can take in the fresh air on the high moors and then sample village life in some of the quaint Devon villages nearby. Whilst visiting the moor, you can sample the Dartmoor Miniature Pony and Animal Farm, which has more than 150 animals including the miniature ponies, donkeys, pigs, lambs, goats, birds and rabbits. You can take in the lakes and enjoy al fresco living in the picnic area or perhaps in the café. Once again, this is great family entertainment.
Situated a stone’s throw from The Osborne is Babbacombe Model Village which is a long founded attraction that has kept the young enchanted for many years. The incredible detail of this expansive attraction makes it one of the finest model villages to be seen.
For those feeling more adventurous, there is the Quaywest Wet and Wild leisure park, which is located at Goodrington and is easy to get to, with plenty of parking. The water is heated to 27 degrees Celcius, so is always warm. There are a plethora of activities for the children, including a fun pool, swimming pool tube slides, submarine play zone, free fall slide, body slides, tube slides and a triple drop slide.
To anyone interested in history and architecture, there is Cockington, which is a true medieval village that was mentioned in the Doomsday Book. It is a thatched village that is one of the most photographed in the UK, as the entire village is thatched, which includes the toilets! Things to do include the horse and carriage rides, tea rooms, a court and a beautiful thatched pub located in an area of lakes and woodland.
The House of Marbles, located at Bovey Tracy, is a working glass and games factory that is housed in an historic pottery. Anyone visiting can watch the glass blowing, with the items produced being fired in the listed kilns. There is a factory seconds shop, coffee shop with licensed restaurant, marble runs and a museum piece.
