This morning, as I walked home along Broadway in Seattle, after working a 12 hr shift, some pimple faced Emo chick with about $400 worth of silver piercings in her face approached me and started with “Do you have…” or “Can you spare a…”
Around here, you can’t walk 50 ft without someone begging for money or a smoke or they are sitting on the sidewaly with the hand out. It just get on my nerves SO bad, I can’t even tell you!
I stopped her midsentence and said “Do I look like the First f*cking National Bank? Then, I see she is holding a large Starbucks coffee that probably cost about $6.00.
That was it for me, I totally lost it.
I grabbed the cup out of her hand and threw it in the middle of the street. and yelled right in her face that she was a total f*cking loser.
Then she said Someone else got it for her. I said they were a loser too.
Should I have done more? I wanted to slap her.

I understand your frustration. I lived on Capitol Hill for a long time and just could not take it anymore. It got to the point I did not want to leave my apartment anymore. People begging every 20 feet is a real depressing thing, especially when you are not in a position to give any spare change.
Try going home along 10th or Belmont or Bellview. The residential streets have way fewer bums and it will give you a chance to unwind on the way home instead of making you more aggitated.
Maybe you should try to look for a place to live in another neighborhood. I moved to Queen Anne Hill and like it a lot better.
